This procedure allows the residential home to ensure that care is provided to residents to minimise the occurrence of constipation or diarrhoea. Residents who develop constipation or diarrhoea have individualised care plans created to resolve the condition and all staff treat residents with dignity and respect in relation to toileting issues.
